School Spettacolo

Yesterday Samuel's elementary school had a Spettacolo (show/program) starring the first and second grades. These programs always make us laugh. The second grade performed a skit and the first grade did a dance. And both classes also demonstrated their English skills. I was amused as you will be when watching the video of the kids speaking English. A quick glance around the room during the performance and I caught several eyes from parents looking to see what our reaction was. Of course, the parents had no idea what their kids were saying. And come to think of it even I had to strain to understand what they were saying with their Italian-English accents. Samuel goes along with the poor pronunciation, so you have to ask him to speak it in American-English and then he says it right.

Waiting for the show to start

Oh, Samuel! What wonderful dancing and singing! You were concentrating so hard. It looked like all your classmates worked hard in performing such a nice program for everyone! You made us smile so much. We can't wait till Emma goes to your school and can have as much fun as you are! Luca, we heard you as well! We miss you all so much. Lots of love and hugs from California! Love, Papa & Nano

Super job, Samuel! We have a video of your dad doing a Mexican dance at school when he was seven, also. You look a lot like him! We will have to show it to you when you come to Michigan this summer.
We love you and miss you!
